Belgium vs Italy – Both Teams to Score – Yes @ 2.03

Caelum

Two of the tournament titans will do battle in a quarter-final matchup that would not look out of place in the Final. The Belgians, who are no.1 ranked side in the world, are yet to lose a game and have only conceded the one goal against fellow quarter-finalist and feel-good story Denmark. Romelu Lukaku has been on fire and after a season dominating Italian defences with Inter Milan, he’ll be confident in finding the back of the net again. Italy, who are marginal favourites at 2.39, survived a giant scare against Austria but will have their tails up knowing what’s at stake as well as the fact that both Eden Hazard and Kevin de Bruyne will be missing from Roberto Martinez’s side. Even without these two world-class players, you can’t count out the Belgians, who withstood a Portuguese onslaught in the round of 16 and still held firm to advance. Back both sides to find the net in a quarter-final matchup that should have televisions turned on all across the globe. 1 unit.

James Duckworth vs Sam Querrey – Correct Score – 3-0 Querrey @ 2.70

Jarrod

Sam Querrey may have had a tough start to 2021, but there is no doubt that the grass season has got him back to the tennis that once saw him reach World #11 in early 2018.Knocking out Pablo Carreno-Busta in round 1 in straight sets, Querrey now gets an opportunity to strut his stuff in the UK, with a favourable matchup against Aussie James Duckworth. Duckworth was able to overcome the struggling Radu Albot in round 1 this time around, but has struggled on grass recently, losing in Round 1 at Eastbourne last week to 237 ranked, and fellow Aussie, Max Purcell. Querrey & Duckworth played off in Stuttgart just last month, also on grass, where Querrey notched up a straight sets win. We expect him to do the same here. 1 unit.

Milwaukee Bucks vs Atlanta Hawks – Hawks Under 107.5 @ 1.85

David

Of course this selection will be hugely affected by whether Trae Young plays or not but I’m considering the fact that he won’t be a 100% if ever he does play. So let’s look at a couple of averages. Hawks average scoring for the whole playoffs is 105.9, just looking at this series you get 104.8. Hawks average without Trae Young for season ’20-’21 is 104.8. Bucks defensive rating for this playoffs is 104.7. Now we don’t have a defensive rating for the Bucks without Giannis for the playoffs but looking at their defensive rating this season and comparing that with their defensive rating whenever Giannis is not playing, interestingly, we get 111.4 and then improves to 108.6 without Giannis. I’d say all of that is in favor of my selection and so I rest my case. 1.5 units.

F1 – Grosser Preis von Osterreich 2021 Race – Top 3 – Valtteri Bottas @ 1.89

Dollarscost

Things change from week to week and year to year in Formula 1. One thing that has been constant over the past four years is the general consistency of Valtteri Bottas as the #2 driver for Mercedes. When his car or his team hasn’t failed him through breakdowns or tactical decisions, he’s been remarkably consistent long-term and has managed 9 race victories over the past 4 and a half seasons competing for Mercedes. We find this price to be a little insulting for a driver who has won this race twice in his career and never finished off the podium at this circuit since moving to a competitive team in 2017, including a 3rd place last week at this track. Given this remarkable run of form at the Red Bull Ring, 1.89 seems to be a great value price for us. We’re even tempted to throw down half a unit on Bottas to win the race outright at 12.00 odds, but we’ll stop short of that and take a much safer price on him to finish on the podium. 2 units.

Jeremy Chardy vs Ilya Ivashka – Winner – Chardy @ 2.15

Alex

Chardy performed really well against Aslan Karatsev in the first round. His serve was very impressive, scoring 18 aces to take out Karatsev in 3 sets.  Seems to be a bit of value in the price at 2.10, which doesn’t reflect his performance in this tournament so far. If he can replicate his performance again, this matchup should be much easier. 1 unit.

Dubai Duty Free Irish Open 2021 – Top 20 – Eddie Pepperell @ 3.55

CBod

With the The Open Championship just around (July 15th) the corner, links-loving Pepperell will certainly want to earn a invite to 2021 edition in Sandwich, Kent. The Irish Open gives him that opportunity, and it was at this tournament he qualified back in 2015. With the aim to come in the top three of the current non-qualified players he must fancy his must fancy his chances to repeat this feat. He does come here on the back of missing the cut in Germany, granted, however he did make the previous three cuts before that, two of which resulting in Top 20 finishes. Also consider he has made the cut at this tournament four out of six times, with three of those finishes being T4 (’19), T8 (’16) & T2 (’15). Pepperell has long been at his best closer to home, as a winner of the British Masters who has threatened in that event subsequently, as well as at Wentworth and in the Irish, Scottish and Welsh opens down the years. In fact, six of the top 10 performances of his career have come in the UK and Ireland…with only five of the worlds Top 50 in attendance, this price looks great! 1 unit.

Community Tip

This week’s Community Tip comes from yolo1935 who has chosen the following.

Czech Republic vs Denmark – 1×2 – Denmark @ 2.11

Denmark is looking in great shape heading into the quarterfinals of the European Championship. The Danes showed great composure against Wales, scoring four goals and justifying the possibility of being considered one of the main dark horses to win the tournament. In their last two games the Danish side as scored 8 goals, which demonstrates the  attacking quality of this team. On the other hand the Czechs surprised most football fans around the world, managing to eliminate Netherlands in the eighth-finals with a 2-0 victory. Despite both sides looking in their best form heading into this match, I’m still predicting a victory from Denmark, continuing their impressive offensive display while proving  their high levels of confidence and motivation.
